RECOGNISING REPORTING &
REFLECTION
We believe in celebrating and acknowledging all the achievements in Transition Year (TY). This is how we make sure activities, work and progress are recognised throughout the year.
1
There are three key elements to reporting
-
The student’s TY portfolio: Think of this as a personal, digital scrapbook. It's where students collect unique experiences, set goals and reflect on what's been learned. It's a way for students to build a personal profile that showcases growth across all four dimensions of the TY program.
-
School reporting: The school keeps families informed and involved through meetings, reports, newsletters and informal communication. This ensures everyone is up-to-date on student progress.
-
Student reflection: This is a student's opportunity to to speak about their experiences and critical reflections and to discuss experiences and what has been learned. It's a crucial part of the assessment process and a valuable learning experience in itself.

Reflection and Renewal
The school also looks at the TY program itself to make it better for future students. This involves a process called Reflection and Renewal. The school will ask for feedback from students, teachers, parents and school leaders to figure out what parts of the programme are working well and what could be improved. This helps the school build on what's successful and learn from what's not.
